Shipping Policy
At SDC India, we aim to provide clear and transparent shipping terms for all orders placed through our online store. This policy applies to materials and products purchased through our website and should be read together with our Return & Refund Policy, Terms of Service, and Contact Information.
1. Shipping Coverage
We ship across India, subject to serviceability, stock availability, transport access, and order type. Some products, project orders, bulk quantities, or site-specific requirements may be supplied only after freight confirmation, transport assessment, or quotation approval.2. Order Processing
Orders are processed only after payment confirmation, order verification, and acceptance by SDC India.Processing and dispatch timelines may vary depending on:

- Batch availability
- Order quantity
- Delivery location
- Site/project requirements
- Transport conditions
Certain products or project-linked quantities may require additional time for allocation, batching, dispatch planning, or procurement.
3. Dispatch and Delivery Timelines
Estimated dispatch and delivery timelines are indicative only and may vary based on stock availability, destination, transporter schedules, weather, public holidays, route conditions, and site accessibility.
Large or project-based orders may require separate delivery planning and timeline confirmation. Any timeline provided by SDC India is an estimate and not a guaranteed delivery commitment unless specifically agreed in writing.4. Shipping Charges and Freight
Shipping, freight, transport, loading, unloading, handling, and related logistics charges may vary depending on:
- Product category
- Quantity / weight
- Delivery location
- Delivery mode
- Site access conditions
- Urgency or special handling requirement
The cost of delivery, freight, transportation, loading, unloading, and related logistics shall be borne by the customer unless otherwise expressly agreed by SDC India in writing.
Where applicable, freight / logistics charges will be communicated at checkout, during order confirmation, or through a separate quotation.
5. Delivery Conditions
Customers must ensure that the delivery location is accessible, safe, and ready to receive the material. If the site requires special handling, restricted entry timing, labour support, unloading support, lifting arrangements, or any additional coordination, the customer must inform SDC India in advance.
Unless specifically agreed otherwise in writing:
- Delivery is subject to transporter and site access feasibility
- Unloading arrangements may be the customer’s responsibility
- Additional charges may apply for waiting time, re-routing, re-attempted delivery, labour support, or special handling
6. Inspection at Delivery
Customers must inspect the goods at the time of delivery and verify:
- Quantity
- Packaging condition
- Visible breakage / damage
- Product description / variant
- Batch / shade / item details where relevant
Any visible transit damage, shortage, wrong item, or delivery issue must be recorded and reported immediately, and in any event within 24 hours of delivery, along with supporting photographs / videos and delivery details.
Acceptance of delivery without timely reporting may affect eligibility for replacement, return, or related claims.
7. Partial Delivery / Split Shipments
SDC India reserves the right to deliver orders in full or in part, depending on stock availability, transporter capacity, route planning, or project scheduling requirements. If split delivery is required, the customer will be informed where reasonably possible.
8. Delayed Delivery
While we make reasonable efforts to dispatch and deliver on time, SDC India shall not be held liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Transporter delays
- Weather disruptions
- Strikes or labour issues
- Government restrictions
- Route blockages
- Force majeure events
- Site inaccessibility or customer-side readiness issues
9. Risk and Responsibility After Delivery
Risk in the goods passes to the customer upon delivery or handover at the delivery location, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Customers are responsible for proper storage, protection, and handling of the material after delivery.
SDC India shall not be responsible for damage, deterioration, contamination, or loss arising after delivery due to improper storage, exposure, site handling, labour actions, moisture, misuse, or any condition outside our control.
10. Failed Delivery / Re-attempts
If delivery cannot be completed due to:
- Wrong address provided
- Customer non-availability
- Site refusal
- Inadequate access
- Lack of unloading arrangement
- Site not being ready to receive the goods
then re-delivery, storage, return freight, or handling charges may apply and shall be borne by the customer where applicable.11. Project / Service-Linked Deliveries
Where an order is linked to a project, service schedule, labour mobilization, or turnkey execution support, delivery may be coordinated based on site readiness, material planning, and service schedule. Any delay, rescheduling, or delivery failure arising from customer-side readiness, site condition, or coordination issues may affect timelines and may result in additional charges where applicable.12. We aim to acknowledge shipping-related complaints within 3 working days and endeavour to address eligible issues within 30 days, subject to the nature of the issue, transporter coordination, and supporting documentation.
13. Important Note
This Shipping Policy does not limit any rights available to consumers under applicable law. Customers are requested to review product details, application conditions, and all store policies carefully before placing an order, particularly because many products supplied by SDC India are heavy, fragile, batch-linked, project-based, or technical in nature.14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Shipping Policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, any disputes arising out of or relating to shipping, dispatch, delivery, logistics, or related claims shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at New Delhi, Delhi.
